This isn't easy; talking about oneself online and to potential new friends on a personal level!
I’m hoping to start dating again after a long gap. I’m genuine and honest and looking for good company with great conversation and a fab sense of humour. That’d be a good start and a strong enjoyable friendship would be wonderful; if things could develop into a relationship it’d be a bonus.
I still believe in chivalry (opening doors etc) but don’t think I’d get on with anyone who is a total pushover or some 'helpless' female, nor do I seek constant confrontation! I need stimulation without overload.
I've written 'trying to give up' re smoking but that would NEVER affect any date as I don't need to smoke when with someone, or at work, or most other times and meeting someone who doesn't would be the final kick up the backside I need. Honestly, if I hadn't been so honest in my profile, you would never know.
I've lived 'down South' for a lot of years now and don't speak broad Geordie anymore but must confess to having a Northern (Durham) accent; just so you're not disappointed should I ever meet any of you.
