About him
I'm f f f fun, with a capital F, "nice", shy/reserved until I'm comfortable with people. Easiest way for that is to make me laugh! Or give me 3 pints of good real ale.
I love to go to gigs, watch indie films (cba with "blockbusters" or superheroes), left-leaning outlook, eating out (doesn't everybody?), time away/travel (doesn't everybody?), I like "proper" pubs, with a fire, real ale and "proper" G&T (ie not Gordon's or Schweppes tonic), fresh coffee and a cuppa tea. I make the best roast tatties. I'm rubbish at fried eggs! I like coriander.
I play music (well, I did up until 18 month ago), "Iike" gardening (though useless, but I do like my herbs), like cats n dogs. I tend to see the best in people - that's why my students ran rings 'round me! But I'd always defend them, much to the bemusement of my colleagues.
I go to gigs (small one's, if it's anything over 200 people I'm generally not bothered, and I hate festivals) and I like to stand at them.. I read music books and The Guardian. I watch good TV (Queen's Gambit, Curb, The Wire, Luther), which is a rare commodity these days. I do not like Queen, The Eagles or Coldplay. I do like Chuck Prophet, Good Luck Mountain and Alabama 3. And Dylan. I like a comedy gig.
I like a walk (I live in a lovely place with hundreds of walking spots), but there has to be a point to them (I'm fine to walk 10 mile to a pub if I can get a bus back!). I am an early evening drinker, in good/great pubs, cos I don't like the crowds! I like stone bothering (now my main hobby). I like Weirdfish.
I like most cuisine's but not greatly experimental, I like cooking but (like gardening) I'm not great at it. If I can have Mexican food, a Modelo and a margarita, I'm happy.
I'm chilled, just lampin'.
Edit: BTW ~ I make the best margarita, the best Aperol Spritz and my roast tatties are unrivalled.
Another edit: just started "Sip n Paint" - painting lessons in a pub. What could go wrong?
And I'd like to be back by the sea if poss! I miss the walks on the beach.
