About him
I like travelling, meeting people and new experiences and it would be great to do these things with someone else. Not looking to marry or to live with someone permanently. Outwith that, a fun and caring relationship would be great. My varied work at the moment means that I am peripatetic. I appreciate consideration and politeness in people, can't abide bad manners. I enjoy keeping fit (mainly running and gym work nowadays). I also enjoy a variety of entertainment; particularly music and films, and am slowly learning to play the guitar. I also enjoy a wide variety of food, particularly with a glass of wine. Happy to sit down with a good book, or as now - challenge myself with trying to learn another language. I like animals, wouldn't mind getting back into the saddle again after many years away from horse riding. I have lived and worked abroad a lot, as I was in the Army. However, still consider the UK my home.
Not sure how friends would describe me; perhaps as a mostly friendly and considerate person, who enjoys others' company, but is also content with himself. My outlook on life is that I'm more appreciative today of the natural world, less of politics.

A fun partner would be someone who doesn't take themselves (or me) too seriously, enjoys similar activities: sport, travel, films and music for example. These are activities I would like to share.
I think mutual respect and tolerance would make a relationship work, particularly with someone who is 'warm and interesting'.
A deal breaker would be someone who does not look after themselves physically or mentally, or does not take care of their appearance. I have tried to be as accurate as possible about myself. Although, I ought to update some of my photographs from two or three years ago - I really have not changed. The main photograph was taken recently on 12/11/23.
