In Her Own Words
About her
In my work as a documentary film maker, I tell extraordinary stories about ordinary people, but so far I haven’t managed to find a romantic ending to my own story – which is where I hope you could play a leading role.
So here’s my character:
I’m high on creativity but low on practicality. So, I could serenade you with a Mozart piano sonata, surprise you with romantic getaways in boutique or off grid hotels that no one has heard of but don’t trust me with anything mechanical. Recently I put antifreeze in the car oil compartment and I have Checkatrade on speedial. That said, I seem to manage my life quite well although if we get together I may pretend to be completely hopeless to get you to do the boring stuff.
I’ve brought up 2 kids who are now at Uni and seem to have turned out remarkably well. So well that apart from being on call for emergency boyfriend or medical advice my job seems to be done, leaving space in my life for someone significant. I live in a shabby chic, uncluttered but by no means minimalist Victorian cottage in West London where I’m surrounded by an eclectic mix of friends with interesting lives. I’m lucky to have memberships to some fun arts oriented clubs which I’d love to take you along to and if you like dancing that would be fantastic as it's one of my favourite pastimes.
At weekends you’ll find me coming last at Parkruns, swimming in The Serpentine (in summer) or possibly going on a course. - I’m a self-development junkie – Tony Robbins, Landmark Forum, Path of Love to name a few. I'm about to start a life coaching course. In the evenings, I’m happiest going to a film screening, or a comedy club - even better would be cooking a cosy meal and snuggling up together to watch a Netflix doc.
Although I'm an early riser and don’t drink, I don’t care at all if you eat donuts all day long and are a wine connoisseur. And hopefully you’ll give me a reason to stay up later than 10 p.m.

In my work as a film maker I’m passionate about championing the underdog but in my personal life I’m looking for a partner who is my equal, someone who will make me want to be a better version of myself, a yang to my yin (or is it yin to my yang), a Dean to my Torville, someone with a few more cliché s to add to my own! Never mind if you’re more alpha or alfalfa, to me it’s more important that you’re kind, communicative, can laugh at life, that I’m your favourite person and that you are mine. And hopefully we can make it beyond the opening credits.
