About him
Hello, Im a 50 year old single parent who is looking for a long term relationship. I have brought up my 2 children by myself, after my wife passed away from cancer in 2012, and they have both now left for University. I have worked from home for the past 12 years for a number of American Cyber-Security companies, and although I really enjoy my job, it is very isolating. With the recent covid lockdowns I have really struggled to socialise and find enjoyment in my life. I would like to turn this around, now that I have the means, the time and the freedom from the every day commitments of raising children.
I own my home in the Somerset countryside, and have all my own teeth, but Im afraid I am ginger (sorry!). I enjoy getting out and about for walks, city breaks and eating at good restaurants. I have travelled in Europe (France, Spain, Greace , Sicily, Croatia), a cruise down the Nile in Egypt, and I have travelled to the US for Business (including an all-expenses paid trip to Maui!) and I look forward travelling again once it becomes easier again. Im afraid I am a bit of a geek - when I have time I enjoy (some very amateur) photography, astronomy, and collecting vintage computers. However, all is not lost as I have kept chickens, practised bee-keeping, and have always enjoyed cooking - recently taking classes in Japanese cooking!
I believe that although I am a little shy, largely due to covid isolation, I am generous, considerate, genuine, practical and loyal. Im sure these short paragraphs cover everything you wish to know about me!!
