I'd like to think my friends would describe me as loyal, kind, and passionate about the things I care about. Game for a laugh and fun times. Someone who notices the bad but seeks out the good. Hard working, maybe too much.
I have a deep affection for animals and appreciation of the natural world.
Until an injury 18 mons ago I was a committed hill walker and gym bunny. I will be again post surgery and a lengthy convalescence. So just now I have more time to enjoy many creative interests including art and writing. I also run an organisation supporting refugees locally. I escape into Dramas and Dr Who on TV and listen to Radio 4 a lot and 6 Music (especially Cerys and Guy on Sundays). I read fiction - all sorts. I love Scotland.
I believe in kindness, fairness, equality and the NHS , and my politics reflects this.

I find kindness very attractive, and intelligence and empathy. I like a man who is confident and at ease in all social situations. Good manners are great. As is creativity in any form. Keeping yourself fit and healthy is important, how, not so much. I'd like to meet someone who wishes to leave the world a better place, and is practical and organised in making their dreams reality. Ideally left leaning or indeed socialist. Someone with whom I can share many a good laugh with just the twitch of an eyebrow. A belly laugher who doesn't smoke. Someone who enjoys the arts and a pub quiz!
