About him
My friends think of me as engaging, sociable, likeable and easy going but confident personality. What puts me off people most are large ego's and shallow personalities or people who do not have time for others. My interests are very diverse and cover both cultural and a love of the great outdoors. In terms of hobbies I love hill walking, cycle touring, skiing, sailing; in fact just about anything involving a bit of adventure. I also have a penchant for musical theatre, good movies, musically I'm a fan of Americana, rock, blues, folk and opera. An unusual one (for many men) is also ballet. Anyway I'm just as happy browsing art galleries or stately homes. I am a self admitted culture vulture when I get the chance but wouldn't describe myself as 'high brow' by any means. For relaxation it's down to the beach, swim or stroll along the sand or play my guitar (I'm terrible musically but hey ho I enjoy it). When the chance arises I like to devour a good book or two. Enjoy good intelligent company, conversation and people but hate crowds. Through life I've found it important to seize opportunities when they come along, make friends but never enemies.

Someone who can share (some if not all) of my love of the outdoors and who also loves the cultural aspects of life (whatever they maybe). I would love to meet someone who is not overly complicated and neither takes life too seriously. Lifes too short to get wound up or to worry all the time. Ideally someone who wants to grasp life and all it has to offer and not be bound and shackled by too many suburban chains... Having an emotional and caring side is very important to me as is a the complimentary side of having a pragmatic attitude to things.. A deal breaker would someone with a large ego and unsympathetic to others.
