About him
OK, obviously I'm not really Tom Hanks. He wouldn't be on a UK dating website would he? I'm younger than him and shorter than him, but not by much. Someone said I looked like him (or maybe I reminded them of Forrest Gump), so that's why I chose that username. One woman on here contacted me and asked me why I was using his pictures and name on my profile. She should've gone to Specsavers.
Like most of you ladies, I'd rather not be on this site, but I keep telling myself that it's only temporary.
I've a busy life revolving around work (which I could finish any time now if I wanted to) and hobbies at the weekend, primarily golf and football. I'm a lapsed National Trust member and would like to re-join at some point, as well as book-up some holidays abroad.
My outlook on life is that it's too short and precious to waste and I'd rather not lie on my deathbed with loads of regrets. Come to think of it, I'd rather not lie on my deathbed at all.
I'll finish with a couple of observations on dating website profiles:
Why do some women write 'I love to laugh'?
I thought everyone loved to laugh, unless they're recovering from major surgery and to do so would hurt.
And why do women say they like good food and wine? I don't know anyone that likes bad food and wine.
If your profile only contains pictures of you wearing sunglasses or posing in full ski gear 50 yards away, I'm unlikely to contact you.
