I asked my friends how they’d describe me…. they said I’m good company, funny, not boring and have a lot to give. They say I’m kind and reliable and they value my friendship. My friends are very important to me.
I’ve had my fair share of life’s experiences, have been lucky enough to indulge a love of travel before having my children and now they’re grown and more independent, I hope I might find a life partner who is still keen to explore new places abroad and enjoy the odd weekend away in the UK.
I enjoy cooking and baking, gardening, flower
arranging and making a home comfortable with an eclectic mix of stuff. I love music and seeing bands live. Going to the theatre is always a treat.
Whilst I am home loving, I look forward to trying out a new restaurant, going to the cinema, finding a great new pub, a cafe with a good vibe. It’s the little things with the right person that make life happier. Going for a walk together whilst supper cooks and calling into the pub on the way home ….
I enjoy dressing up for the odd posh night out but equally enjoy a Saturday night on the sofa snuggled up watching a film with a bottle of wine.
I enjoy shopping and have never lost my love of clothes. I like a bargain and charity shop finds are just the best. I was raised to understand the value of money and whilst I can certainly appreciate the finer things in life, I’m not extravagant or pretentious.
I appreciate courtesy and good manners, kindness and respect. I’m very much in hoping I might meet a man with these values.

I am looking for a man who hasn’t lost his zest for life. Not someone who lives life at 100mph, but a man who still has a thirst for life, for adventure and for trying new things. I still dream and would hope to meet a man who does too. I want to find a man who wants to grow old with me … that we’ll look at each other and realise that we both made the best decision of our lives.
My life partner will be dependable, mentally strong, kind, funny and comfortable in his own skin. He will have a positive outlook and on those days when the sun isn’t shining, he’ll make me feel like it is.
I would struggle with a man who suffers from unexplained moodiness. Communication is very important to me and we can only weather a storm if we both feel able to talk about stuff that might expose our vulnerabilities.
He can’t be allergic to cats as I have two. I used to have dogs growing up and would love to think that one day we might have a dog together.

As I have been on my own raising my boys for quite some years now I have become comfortable with my own company. I am rarely bored or lonely and would be happy meeting a man who has his own hobbies and interests. Having said that, I do want to find a life partner, share life’s experiences and grow wonderfully old together - in a relationship that has room to breathe.
