About her
I’m kind, curious and have a great appetite for life so I make an interesting companion. My favourite activity is hiking. I love being outdoors. I also enjoy travel, culture and the arts, and will give most things a try. In recent years I’ve also become very interested in well-being and now meditate regularly. Friends would describe me as lively, intelligent, optimistic and tactile. You can’t beat a warm hug!
At the moment my biggest desire is for travel, here and abroad. After a long and demanding professional career I’m now happily retired and dog free and want to stretch my legs and adventure in the world.
I also enjoy the simple things; good coffee and conversation, open skies, red dawns, good food, and all animals. I have a love of dogs, though I don’t currently have any I regularly nab a couple of my neighbour’s dogs for a walk and a play in the park. I would like another when I’ve done with the far flung places.
I want life ahead to be kind, colourful and joyous and am looking for gentle company for the journey.

Kindness and self awareness are key qualities. If you are an intelligent, tactile person who still has a spark and an appetite for life we will get along. It would be great if you love animals and particularly dogs.
Being financially comfortable with the flexibility to get out and adventure in the world are prerequisites for a rich and varied life, so if you are umbilically tied to a weekly sport attendance or some such we are not a match (pardon the pun 😊).
It would be great to do some things together. Hiking is my favourite activity but I also love travel and culture…film, art galleries, theatre, music. Oh, and food - great food.
The view from a trig with a wide open sky, an entertaining film on a cosy evening in, a thought provoking play, trailing your feet through a warm sea on a beach in the Med, the best Thai dish you ever tasted….could you be tempted?
My politics are left wing. Conservatives, conspiracy theorists and red top readers are not for me.
