I have had a career all my adult life, but I balance it with a fair bit of padel, lovely friends and, whenever their busy lives allow, time with my 3 adult children. I enjoy people, conversation, doing physical activities/sports, but I do also like the calmness of quiet time by myself. Balance would be ideal, but I do tend to say yes to too many activities and events!
I would love to travel more in the UK and abroad, particularly to places I have never been before. I can appreciate old and new architecture, the bustle of a town, the silence of the sea, the magnitude of a mountain in ski season.

I think it is lovely to have difference in a relationship, but I do feel that the qualities you bring yourself are the qualities that you most value in others. Closest to my heart are kindness, optimism, curiosity collaboration and sense of fun. I would love those in a partner.
It takes time for 2 people to really get to know if this could be your person, so I'm in no rush and willing to spend that time.
Dating in my 50s seems tougher than my 20s, maybe there are too many barriers or masks built over the years. We can all get carried away trying to delight others with the best of ourselves - there can seem so much pressure to be pretty and funny and clever and so on, but I feel genuine connections can only be made when we settle into our authentic self, are willing to show vulnerablility, and really hear and see the other person.
