I am happiest in the outdoors, walking, watching wildlife, being in the hills and lakes or by a river, gardening, exploring market towns and castles/history and gardens. I enjoy spending quality time with family and grand kids of course. I have a background in farming and nature conservation. I enjoy reading, cinema, photography, current affairs, meeting new people, travelling in the UK and Europe although not big cities or sun loungers! and not keen on dogs - sadly. Not into fancy hotels and fine dining - a nice guesthouse or self catering cottage is my preference. Happy to eat out for special occasions though. My friends would say I am loyal, honest, friendly, sociable, helpful, considerate, quiet and thoughtful and I can cook a decent meal from scratch.
