About him
What you see is what you get. I don't do flattery but happy to give a compliment. I have a mischievous sense of humour and try not to take myself too seriously. However I have certain key values which are important to me and am passionste about my core beliefs.These include honesty, courtesy, saying thank you and saying what you think and how you feel - no silly guessing games! Care of children and my family is important to me. I also love animals and have a dog and she is my best buddie. I enjoy taking her for walks around the forests, hills, lakes and valleys and am a member of a walking group. I would love to share my treks around my area with someone special. I also enjoy music have played piano and violin but am very very rusty. I also enjoy reading and my two favourite authors are John Boyne and Michael Morpurgo. I enjoy trying new wines, especially red. Last but not least having struggled very hard to stop smoking many times and finally succeeded 4 yrs ago, being with someone who smokes and risking relapse is not an option

My ideal match would be caring and compassionate and not afraid to say and show what she thinks and how she feels. She also needs to have a sense of humour but have values similar to mine, especially showing appreciation and saying thank you. I am also looking for a lady with a sense of adventure, whether that be going new places, trying nee foods or just dimply doing something different.
She must be a dog/cat lover and happy to share my love of music literature and the theatre and long walks in the countryside and by the sea. She must be a non-smoker for the reasons I have explained earlier.
